Deputy Chef

Food is at the heart of our organisation and learning about food provides the perfect opportunity to help people to increase their confidence and develop skills needed to help them secure work in the catering and hospitality sector. Our kitchen, café and food clubs are not just a training space – we creates hot delicious meals, serve people in our café and provide cost-effective options in our food club.

Mustard Tree has an established track record over the past 25 years, supporting people across Greater Manchester in poverty and facing homelessness. We help people in need to learn new skills, find work, and secure somewhere to live, as well as providing the resources needed to make a house a home.

We need someone to join our team and work with our Head Chef to help feed this opportunity.

The role itself is a dream job for someone who is passionate about training people to learn new skills and would suit a Chef with a few years’ experience or an enthusiastic, talented individual who has recently left college.  With attractive hours of Monday to Friday, 9-5 and a salary package around £18-19,945, we are looking for the right individual who wants to make a difference, is passionate about food, understands compliance and is keen to train others.

Most of all, Mustard Tree is a fun, engaging, rewarding environment and with plenty of support to help you along the way. Come and join our family!
