Resources (Retail) Assistant Manager
For 20 years Mustard Tree has been a Greater Manchester based charity committed to providing life support for people who are homeless and marginalised. We serve through the provision of food, clothing, furniture and training, with the aim of working towards long-term solutions.
We work with those who are facing the greatest barriers to employment, education, good health outcomes, safe and secure housing, social integration, and financial and digital inclusion. We tackle both the causes and consequences of poverty. We currently operate from bases in Ancoats and Eccles, where we seek to offer both crises interventions; food, clothing and furniture, as well as programmes designed to build life skills and employment skills.
We are looking for an individual to assist the Retail Manager in the running of our shop that offers training and development to the people that Mustard Tree supports. This post is based at our Ancoats site although occasional travel to our other branches may be required.
The successful applicant will have proven experience in a retail environment with excellent communication skills and an ability to work under pressure. We are seeking someone who can manage a team of volunteers and work with people from across the community.
The successful applicant will also be confident keeping accurate and up to date records, following efficient processes as well as supporting the monitoring and evaluation of the charity’s extensive activities.
We welcome applications from individuals from within the charitable sector as well as those with appropriate experience seeking to move from other sectors.
