Bosom Buddies Bra Campaign

A couple of months ago we launched a campaign called Bosom Buddies (www.bosombuddies2010.co.uk/) with a lingerie company called Lucile.   As a result we have received over 4000 bras from all over the UK and are still getting at least 10 a day!   The idea of this campaign is to raise awareness of the number of vulnerable women in Greater Manchester and to play a small part in improving life for ladies struggling with life.

We are now faced with the challenge of distributing them effectively. A big part of the strategy for this is a ladies only pampering event on 30th September.  We will host around 100 vulnerable women and 50 women who have donated bras, for an evening of good food, good company and pampering.  The idea is to have a meal together at our base with music and entertainment,  followed by pampering, massages, free cosmetics etc and a bra fitting service to send the ladies away with good quality, well fitting bras.  Due to the vulnerable nature of many of the women, it will be a women only event (except for a small team of carefully selected waiters).  The idea is to not only help distribute the bras but do it in a way that reinforces the value of each of the ladies present and treats them as unique and special.
