The Sanctuary

The Sanctuary is a creative event and community that meets at The Mustard Tree on the first Wednesday of each month.

The Sanctuary project was started in September 2007 with the aim of helping the poor and marginalised across Manchester engage with creative arts and express themselves creatively.

On the first Wednesday of every month local artists, musicians and creatives mix and eat with folk from across Manchester, some from the streets, some from detox centres and others from partner organisations such as Barnabus and Cornerstone.

Throughout the evening local artists perform, teach and are taught singing, crafts, painting, poetry and various instruments.
